Jetour is now getting ready to officially enter the Nepali SUV market, with the Jetour T2 PHEV arriving in Nepal ahead of its scheduled launch on October 11, 2026.

The arrival of the T2 marks an important step for Laxmi Motorhub, under Laxmi Group, which is preparing to introduce Jetour in Nepal.

The company had initially planned to bring the brand to the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, followed by plans to showcase its models at the NADA Auto Show 2026. However, delays in vehicle arrival and disruption along the China–Nepal trade route pushed back the planned introduction.

With the T2 now in Nepal, Jetour's official debut is moving closer. The Jetour T1 PHEV will also be available alongside the T2 from launch, giving the brand two plug-in hybrid SUVs for its initial Nepal lineup.

The Jetour T2 PHEV is the larger and more rugged-looking model of the two. It features a boxy silhouette, high bonnet, prominent wheel arches and a pronounced SUV stance, giving it an adventure-focused character.

Power comes from a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine combined with a plug-in hybrid system and a 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT). The powertrain produces a claimed 360 hp and 610 Nm of torque.

The T2 uses an 18.4 kWh LFP battery, providing a claimed electric-only range of up to 90 km under the NEDC cycle. Jetour claims a combined driving range of around 1,100 km.

The SUV also gets 220 mm of ground clearance and six driving modes, along with 20-inch wheels. Inside, the T2 features a 15.6-inch infotainment display, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof and ventilated seats.

Its safety and driver-assistance package includes Level 2 ADAS, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance and autonomous emergency braking. A 540-degree camera system is also part of the equipment package.

While official Nepal pricing is yet to be announced, the Jetour T2 is expected to start at around Rs. 1.55 crore. The final price and Nepal-specific variant details are expected to be disclosed during the October 11 launch.

The Jetour T1 PHEV will sit below the T2 as the smaller model in the initial lineup. It retains the brand's rugged SUV styling while offering a slightly more compact package.

The T1 is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged plug-in hybrid powertrain producing a claimed 335 hp and 530 Nm. It gets a larger 26.7 kWh LFP battery, with a claimed electric-only range of around 117 km under the WLTC cycle and a total claimed range of up to 1,200 km.

Measuring 4,705 mm in length with a 2,800 mm wheelbase, the T1 offers a five-seat cabin. Its equipment list includes a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS and V2L capability.

Jetour is a Chinese SUV brand under Chery Holding Group, with a product portfolio that includes petrol, hybrid and new-energy SUVs. In Nepal, Laxmi Motorhub is establishing the brand's presence, including its upcoming showroom in Thapathali, Kathmandu.
